The accountant will be responsible for:
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records by verifying the accuracy of amounts dates, and accounts affected.
Preparing and reviewing financial statements.
Managing accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
Processing payroll and related statutory obligations.
Ensuring timely preparation of tax returns.
Reconciling bank statements and general ledger accounts.
Maintain upto date accounts, good in GST and TDS calculations and filing
Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and organizational policies.
Maintain cash flow records and ensure accurate entries for petty cash and bank accounts and update the cashbook daily with deposits, withdrawals, and other transactions.
Receive, verify, and record supplier invoices, check invoices match purchase orders and delivery receipts and make approvals of invoices for payment based on approval hierarchy.
Prepare and issue customer invoices based on sales orders or contracts and verify invoicing terms (payment due date, amounts, and discounts) are correct.
Monitor and record incoming payments (bank deposits, checks, wire transfers).Follow up on overdue payments according to the company’s credit policy.
