Strategically, CCTV systems were monitored from different departments. For prompt and rapid communication, high quality OFC Cable & Ethernet Cable was laid throughout the plant. 46 cameras of E&I scope were installed at BP 1-2, PS-1, JH2, and MRSS locations. 10 cameras of Oper Scope were installed at Linear Screen, Ball Mill, Material Yard, Paste Thickener, and RHP areas. The CCTV surveillance system installed here was enabled by 6MP cameras only.
Significantly, 5 monitors, and 3 NVRs were installed at the Control Room, Electrical, Engineering Room, Operations Head Room and Plant Head Room. Under the project maintenance, the technical team of Brihaspathi Technologies would visit 4 times for regular maintenance. However, the assurance on unlimited breakdown visits within 48 hours was agreed upon. This maintenance arrangement was to be continued for one year, free of cost.
The CCTV installation and maintenance project at AMNS India’ steel manufacturing plant at Kirandul, Chattisgarh had quite a few challenges. Brihaspathi’ technical team had to come up with different solutions due to the plant’s location and the terrain. In this direction, the installation of wireless CCTV systems here, instead of the regular Optical Fibre Cable (OFC) needs due mention. A total of 58 CCTVs were installed across the AM/NS’ steel manufacturing plant. These included Bullet, Dome and PTZ cameras. At one point, a tower had to be erected with PTZ camera and wireless connectivity.
